A oversized banged up guitar from Salvation Army was placed into 13 year old VanPan's hands after begging for one. From then on she was hooked. She did lead vocals and guitar in high school with a band called “The Fink”. Attended Berklee College of Music of a summer performance intensive in guitar. Traveled the world, wrote and played music all along the way. She now lives in Kunming, China, playing 3 gigs a week and is working on her first album 'Limbs' with a team of international musicians.

VanPan lived in Kunming, China from August 2014-2017. Within that 3 year time period she became part of a vibrant music community.
After recording back up vocals for a fellow songwriter named 'Nevada'. VanPan paired up with Producer Jan Hassmann to record a proper debut album (and b-side). Eventually through the help of the community a Kickstarter video was made to help raise the fund for a full band and production.
